Percentage Change Calculator

Measure the percentage change between two figures, such as this month’s sales against last month’s, or a supplier’s new price against the old one.

How the growth & change works

Formula. Change = (new − old) ÷ old. Average change per period = (new ÷ old)1 ÷ periods − 1.

Example. Sales that go from 8,200 to 9,430 have grown 15%.

Tip. Falls and rises are not equal. A 20% drop needs a 25% rise to get back to where you started.
